Chiropractic Wellness Care in Lake Oswego

Wellness care is preventive maintenance. Form & Function Chiropractic offers wellness chiropractic care in Lake Oswego to help catch small restrictions before they turn into pain. Dr. Jeff Devine tailors the schedule to you, with no pressure to continue beyond what makes sense.

What a wellness visit includes

Visits include a check-in on how you have been feeling, a reassessment of the areas that tend to tighten, and spinal and joint adjustments as needed. We may review your posture, especially if you sit or drive a lot, and offer simple movement and ergonomic tips for home and work.

How often should I come?

There is no fixed schedule that fits everyone. Some patients come monthly while others prefer longer intervals. Dr. Devine sets the cadence based on how you respond, and you can adjust or pause your schedule at any time.

Nutrition support

Nutrition coaching with Jodi Black is an optional add-on for patients who want to support their health more broadly. Learn about nutrition coaching, nutritional consulting and the detox and metabolic reset program.

Good for

  • People who sit or drive for long hours
  • Active adults who want to keep moving well
  • Anyone recovering from a past injury who wants to stay on track
  • Patients who finished a care plan and want to maintain progress

If you have pain now

If you already have pain, start with a visit to find the cause. See our pages on low back pain, neck pain and headaches, or read about injury treatment.

What maintenance care does and does not do

Wellness care is meant to support movement and comfort over time, not to promise outcomes. Dr. Devine reassesses you at each visit and tells you honestly if you are doing well and can stretch your visits further apart. If something new comes up, we evaluate it and refer you when another provider is the right fit.

What your first visit looks like

Your first visit starts with a conversation about your history, when your goals began, what makes it better or worse, and what you want to get back to doing. Dr. Devine then examines you, explains what he finds in plain language, and recommends a plan before you leave. X-rays are used only when they are clinically warranted. Adjustments can use Diversified, Activator, Drop Table, Torque Release or SOT techniques, so you can choose a gentler approach if you prefer.

When to get medical care first

If you have severe or sudden symptoms such as chest pain, shortness of breath, sudden weakness, or loss of bladder or bowel control, seek emergency care instead of scheduling a wellness visit.
